Dr. Alia Goodheart is a licensed, board certified general adult psychiatrist. She earned her medical doctorate from the Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn ( State University of New York) in 2000. She moved to Boston for her internship and residency in adult psychiatry at the Harvard Longwood Program, and trained at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts Mental Health Center.

Dr Goodheart has eighteen years of clinical experience working in varied settings. These include an integrated primary care practice at BIDMC; the psychiatric inpatient unit at Emerson Hospital where she worked for nine years; the Massachusetts Department of Corrections in Framingham where she served the psychiatric needs of female inmates; and most recently at a behavioral health community clinic in Malden where she treated a mix of the elderly, the chronically mentally ill, and high-functioning clients.

During her free time, Dr. Goodheart enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
